SERPSweep

Bring Google results together. Find words, brands and websites.

SERPSweep helps you review Google’s organic search results without switching back and forth between pages. Combine up to 100 results, find words, phrases or websites in the collected list, and export useful details for your research.

Free · Version 1.2.0 · Desktop Chrome · Google.com and Google.co.uk

No account, subscription or paid API is required. Install manually from the ZIP using the steps below.

Review results in one place

Choose up to 20, 50 or 100 organic results and combine them into a scrollable list. Titles, links, snippets and Google’s bolded text stay together.

Export a CSV containing the title, URL, snippet, bold phrases, collected position, source page offset, site name and displayed URL.

Find words, phrases or websites

Search result titles, snippets, displayed site names and URLs, and available destination URLs. Matches update as you type, without loading more pages.

See every matching result, its collected position and a Jump button to find it quickly. A match can be a mention on another website, rather than your own website ranking.

How to use SERPSweep

  1. Open a Google search in desktop Chrome using the All or Web view. The SERPSweep toolbar appears above the results.
  2. Choose a result limit and click Combine results. Collection follows Google’s next-page links. Use Stop to keep the results collected so far.
  3. Type a word, phrase or website under Find in results. Matches update as you type; you can also press Enter or click Find. This searches only the results already collected and makes no extra requests.
  4. Choose Show bold text to review highlighted phrases, or Copy bold text to copy unique phrases. You can switch to individual words and export their counts.
  5. Use Export results for a CSV, or Google view to return to the original results.

Collected positions need context

A position is the order of a unique organic result in this collected list. It is not a universal ranking or Search Console’s average position. Ads, maps, AI answers and other search features are excluded.

Results can vary with your location, device, search history and personalisation. “No match” means your text was not found in the results checked, not that a business is absent from Google. A text match is not proof that the business’s own website ranks at that position.

Install SERPSweep in desktop Chrome

  1. Download the SERPSweep ZIP and extract it into a folder you will keep on your computer.
  2. Type chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar.
  3. Turn on Developer mode, then choose Load unpacked.
  4. Select the extracted folder containing manifest.json, not the ZIP itself.
  5. Refresh any webpages already open. Pin the extension from Chrome’s Extensions menu if you want easier access.

Keep the extracted folder in place. See Chrome’s installation guidance. To update, replace the files in that folder with the new version, reload the extension in Chrome’s extensions manager, refresh your Google search tab and run Combine results again.

Privacy and permissions

SERPSweep has no analytics, account, external processing service or saved search history. Results and the text you enter in the finder remain in the current tab until you navigate away. Only the result limit and phrase/word preference are saved locally.

  • Google page access: reads and displays results on supported Google search pages. Extra page requests go to the same Google website using your normal session, only after you click Combine results.
  • Clipboard writing: copies text when you choose Copy. It does not request clipboard-reading access.
  • Local storage: remembers your two display preferences. CSV downloads are saved on your device.

Useful things to know

Does Incognito give a neutral ranking?

A fresh Incognito window while signed out can reduce account and history effects, but your location still matters and searches in that session can influence results. Enable Allow in Incognito in SERPSweep’s extension details if you want to use it there.

Will it always collect 100 results?

No. Google can provide fewer results, repeat pages or block further requests. SERPSweep checks at most 15 pages per run, pauses between requests and stops on consent or verification pages. Changes to Google’s layout may require an extension update.

Are bold phrases keywords I should target?

They are the words or phrases Google emphasised in those snippets, not verified ranking factors or keyword recommendations. Counts show how many collected results contain a phrase or word, not search volume. Google may generate snippets from page content rather than its meta description.

What happens if I start on a later results page?

Positions initially refer to that page. Combine results starts from the beginning; the finder then reflects the unique results collected.
