    Privacy Policy

How First Search Digital handles website visits, enquiries and business contact information.

    Last updated: 6 October 2026

    Privacy PolicyCookie PolicyTerms & Conditions

    Who we are

FINN DIGITAL MEDIA LTD, trading as First Search Digital, company number 14351302 is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our registered office is C/O Brennan Herriott & Co 1, Blatchington Road, Hove, East Sussex, United Kingdom, BN3 3YP.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact [email protected], or write to our registered office marked “Privacy”.

This notice covers visitors to firstsearchdigital.co.uk, people making enquiries, and our business and client contacts. Where we process information about a client’s customers on their instructions, the relevant project and data-processing arrangements apply as well.

    Information we receive

    • Enquiries and correspondence: your name, email address, telephone number, business name, website address, and the details you choose to share about your project.
    • Client administration: business contact details, proposals, agreed work, correspondence, billing information and payment records where we work together.
    • Technical information: website hosting and security systems may record your IP address, browser or device information, pages requested, request times and errors so the website can be delivered and protected.

The contact page currently directs you to email us; it does not submit an online enquiry form. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry and avoid including sensitive personal information or passwords in an initial email.

    Why we use information

    • Replying to enquiries and discussing work: to take steps you request before entering a contract with you, or for our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and communicating with people representing organisations.
    • Delivering and administering services: to perform our contract with you, or for our legitimate interest in managing a client relationship where the contract is with your organisation.
    • Accounts and required records: to meet applicable tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
    • Running and securing the website: for our legitimate interest in providing a reliable service, preventing misuse and investigating technical problems.
    • Handling complaints and disputes: for our legitimate interest in resolving issues and establishing or defending legal claims, and to comply with legal duties where applicable.

You do not have to send us an enquiry. If you do, we need enough contact and project information to respond or provide the service you request. We do not treat an enquiry as permission to add you to a marketing mailing list.

    Analytics and cookies

We do not use Google Analytics on this website and have no current plans to add it. We do not install advertising or remarketing trackers to follow visitors around the web.

Administrator login cookies and ordinary hosting or security logs are separate from visitor analytics. See our Cookie Policy for more information.

    Who receives information

SiteGround currently provides our website hosting and business email service. It processes website and email information as needed to supply those services. Relevant information may also be shared with technical support providers, authorised specialists assisting with requested work, professional advisers such as accountants, and authorities where disclosure is legally required. We limit sharing to what is needed for the relevant purpose. We do not sell personal information.

Some portfolio images are served from finn-mccool.co.uk, and a theme image is served from themenectar.com. Loading those files sends the image host technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver the image. Links to client websites and other external sites lead to services with their own privacy notices.

    International processing

SiteGround’s group companies and service providers may process information outside the UK, including in the EEA and the United States. SiteGround’s published data-processing terms include an International Data Transfer Agreement for relevant UK transfers. You can read the safeguards in SiteGround’s Data Processing Agreement or contact us for further information about arrangements relevant to your data.

    How long information is kept

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for its purpose. The period depends on the type of record:

    • Enquiries: while considering and answering the enquiry and any related follow-up, taking account of whether an active discussion or project is continuing.
    • Client and financial records: for the relationship and afterwards where needed for accounting or tax requirements, outstanding obligations, or the relevant period for resolving disputes and legal claims.
    • Technical and security records: for the operational period needed to investigate faults, protect the service and respond to security incidents.

We review whether information is still needed and delete or anonymise it when there is no continuing reason to retain it. Backup copies may remain until the relevant backup cycle expires and are not used for routine business purposes.

    Security

We use access controls and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information. This website uses HTTPS. No online service can guarantee absolute security; contact us if you believe information sent to us has been put at risk.

    Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, corrections, deletion, restrictions on use, or a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular circumstances. You can always object to use of your personal information for direct marketing.

Contact [email protected] to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity and the information concerned. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data-protection law. We do not use the website to make solely automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

    Questions and complaints

Please contact us if you are unhappy with how we handle your information so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. See ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint for how to raise a concern.

    Changes to this notice

We will update this page if our services, providers or use of personal information changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
